We are still having to wait quite some time for Week 1 to get here, but Ohio State being in full swing at spring ball sure has people excited for August to get here. And with that, guys like Chris Henry Jr. who are new to Columbus are making quite the splash.

New Ohio State coach sings the praises of freshman making waves

Henry has made countless headlines of late, as he's putting on a show and Jeremiah Smith is hyping him up in the best way possible. Need a close-up look at the potential Henry has with the offense? Go ahead and watch the clip below. Yup, this kid is going to be a special talent in the Big Ten:

What a route. It should be no surprise that Henry is making a name for himself, as players and coaches have been left favorably impressed with what he's getting done on the practice field. The expectation is for him to make an immediate impact as a true frosh.

Henry graduated from high school early and he's made his way to Big Ten country ranked five stars and the No. 2 wideout in the country per the 247Sports Composite. As most of you know, however, he nearly didn't make his way over to play for Ryan Day and Arthur Smith.

Brian Hartline leaving for USF made Henry rethink his future, as Oregon nearly was able to pull off the last-minute flip. However, Day and his staff kept pushing hard and they reminded the California product that even without Hartline on campus, Ohio State would be able to do a great job in developing him.

Thankfully for the Ohio State faithful, Henry bought into the sales pitch and he's ready to become the next great wideout to come out of the program. There's of course a long road there for that to happen, but the early signs have plenty of people convinced that Henry is well on his way to being a stud. That's of course bad news for Big Ten defenses out there - good luck trying to slow down him and Smith when they're on the field together.
