Spring ball is in full swing in Columbus and to no surprise, plenty of newcomers are making a big-time splash for Ryan Day and Ohio State. This includes the baby-faced freshman who graduated from high school early and got a jump-start on their college careers. Chris Henry Jr. is no doubt on that list.

Ohio State DB prepping for the NFL Draft calls out Jim Knowles

The youngster made the move from California to Ohio and he's been making noise early on, which a lot of us expected. So much in fact, the big-bodied wideout is already getting some run with the starting group. Could CHJ make an immediate impact this fall? That's the expectation for him.

Chris Henry Jr. has wasted no time making a splash for Ohio State football

This is the news plenty of fans have been waiting on. The thought of Jeremiah Smith and Henry taking the field at the same time this fall is quite exciting. On the other side of things, can you imagine how petrified defensive coordinators will be in trying to plan for them?

Smith is one of the best players in the country and he's a lock to be a Top 5 pick in 2027. He's got one last dance on the way with the Buckeyes and he's going to work to help bring Henry along as well. Who better to have take you under their wing than Smith for Henry?

Entering the news season, Henry has major expectations set on him, as he signed with Ohio State ranked five stars and the No. 2 wide receiver in the country per the 247Sports Composite. The Buckeyes were also able to hang on to him late with other teams charging head on.

When the Early Signing Period arrived, hearts dropped when Henry didn't make things official on the first day - Brian Hartline leaving for South Florida sure had something to do with that. In the end, though, the Buckeyes held off Oregon, with Henry realizing Ohio State was the best fit for him. He's going to work overtime to build chemistry with Julian Sayin, but the early reports out of spring camp sure are positive. This kid is going to be the real deal.
