The majority of the focus for Ohio State football fans is the transfer portal, but Ryan Day quietly had a huge recruiting weekend with elite high school talent too. Things included 5-star wideout Monshun Sales making his way to Columbus for an unofficial visit.

As it turns out, the elite playmaker wasn't alone. As you'll be able to see in the photo below, Day and Co. also brought in fellow 5-star prospects Eric McFarland and Jamier Brown. Brown is already committed to the Buckeyes. Can you imagine if Ohio State somehow adds Sales and McFarland to the 2027 list?

Day also has some nice transfer portal wins, but he also hasn't forgotten about hitting the ground running for '27 efforts. Sales would no question be an incredible get for the Buckeyes. Per 247Sports, he's ranked five stars and the No. 1 wideout in the country.

Landing Sales is not going to be easy here, as several other powerhouses are putting in serious work to grab his verbal. The long list includes Indiana and Curt Cignetti making him a priority. The Hoosiers are pushing for the CFP title and they're using that to their advantage in trying to sell Sales on the potential future he'd have in Bloomington if he picks Indiana.

Day is saying not so fast, though, as he's also working his magic to make a move here. While the season didn't end according to plan for the Buckeyes, Sales is probably keeping the great success Ohio State wideouts are having in mind.

Jeremiah Smith is the best receiver in the country, period. For the 2026 haul, 5-star WR Chris Henry Jr. is signed and he's ready to make a huge impact as a true freshman. Will Sales add his name into the mix too? With Brown already being on board, that might help Ohio State here. No matter how things shape out, Sales has been given a lot to think about from his weekend visit and the Buckeyes will definitely be a team to watch for him moving forward.
