It's time for 5-star wide receiver Monshun Sales to make his final decision, and all signs are pointing to him landing in the Big Ten. However, it's not Ohio State and Ryan Day who are expected to get good news. Instead, it looks like Curt Cignetti and Indiana are about to post another win on the Buckeyes, with Sales fully expected to pick the Hoosiers when he hops on The Pat McAfee Show.
This won't be a major surprise, as the Hoosiers have been trending for the speedster for a little while now. Despite that, Day and Co. never gave up on their recruiting efforts, working to see if they could land one of the top wideouts in the country. With another last-minute prediction coming in for the Hoosiers to get some good news, it really feels like this dream is all but dead:
Looks like five-star WR Monshun Sales is trending towards Indiana tomorrow ahead of his commitment 🤔

Monshun Sales decision: Indiana and Curt Cignetti expected to reel in the 5-star WR
With National Recruiting Analyst Sam Spiegelman putting in his official prediction for Sales to pick Indiana, it only adds to the confidence for IU fans that this is probably a done deal. If this ends up being the case, sure, it's going to be a bummer for the Buckeyes, but it's not going to be the end of the world.
Ohio State already has 5-star wideout Jamier Brown on board for the 2027 class, while there's speculation that fellow 5-star wide receiver Jett Harrison could reclassify from 2028 to '27. That would give Day a pair of elite WR pledges for his next recruiting haul, which would be fantastic. It would also make his Top 10 class even better.
Yes, there was hope that Sales would commit to Ohio State, but in recent weeks a lot of the buzz had been towards both Indiana and Texas. Texas is doing everything it can to not only grab Sales, but also keep Easton Royal, the No. 1 WR in the country, on board. There's a good chance they don't sign either player.
That's nothing for Day and Ohio State to worry about, as the focus will shift to closing out the '27 recruiting efforts with a bang later this summer and fall ahead of the Early Signing Period. Sales could end up shocking us all by putting on an Ohio State hat when he reveals his decision, but we just don't see it happening. Again, though, it will be nothing for OSU supporters to lose sleep over.
