4.  Alabama Crimson Tide

The Crimson Tide we’re getting routed in the first half against LSU after looking very uncharacteristic bad on both sides of the ball. Alabama entered the second half down by twenty to the shock of the country but then opened the second half scoring 14 unanswered.

As we expected, the game came down to the wire and Alabama made something out of nothing and showed they should still be in the CFP conversation even though they lost.

Personally, I don’t think Alabama will be deserving of the final spot, but if chaos happens the right way the Tide could find themselves in. They would beat Oregon and Georgia on a neutral field, so the eye test will have Alabama still in, but barely.

Nick Saban’s group should be the committee’s highest-ranked one-loss team and they will check in at No. 4 just ahead of Georgia. I battled back and forth, but that last touchdown may have been the piece to allow them to barely hold their spot in the field. Obviously No. 4 would be their ceiling from here on out.
