5. Georgia Bulldogs

Georgia stubbed their toe against South Carolina at home but wins over Florida and Notre Dame seem to have nullified that defeat. The Bulldogs have been stout on defense as it ranks among the best in the country.

Offensively, however, Georgia has been pretty stagnant. They’ve had trouble throwing the ball over the top to stretch the field vertically and that will not fly against an elite defense.

If Georgia wishes to win the SEC and clinch a playoff spot they must be able to run the ball effectively with D’Andre Swift and develop a vertical passing attack.

However, with their good wins the Bulldogs will be ranked No. 5. And if they improve the areas of concern will have a good shot of making the College Football Playoff.
