Illinois (-7.5) vs Eastern Michigan

Must Read: CFP predictions after Week 2, is the SEC that good?

All I can say the Fighting Illini is don’t blow it.  They are on the cusp of starting 3-0 for the first time since 2011.

A win against Eastern Michigan puts them three wins shy of a bowl eligible season.  That would be a huge accomplishment in Lovie Smith’s fourth season.

The Eagles looked decent against Kentucky in week one so it is possible this is a close game, but I think the Eagles are tailored made for the Fighting Illini.

They can’t run the ball making life easier for Illinois’ defense that has been strong in its first two games.

Offensively, Brandon Peters should be able to carve up the Eagles who are allowing 263 yards passing-per-game.

Next. Buckeyes better than expected under Ryan Day. dark

I’ll probably regret this pick on Sunday, but Illinois puts a beatdown on Eastern Michigan to win 34-10. Well, there are my picks for games involving Big Ten West teams in week 3.
