Minnesota (-15.5) vs. Georgia Southern

The Golden Gophers needed two overtimes to put away Fresno State last week 38-35, but the win puts them in perfect position to finish 3-0 in non-conference play for the fourth-straight year.

I am concerned about Minnesota’s offense.  It returned plenty of talent, but it has lacked explosiveness and consistency so far.

The defense has been inconsistent too.

I thought the Golden Gophers would be the sleeper team in the West, but I am thinking that pick was dead wrong.

Georgia Southern won’t put up much of a fight.  It is a one-trick pony and Minnesota’s run defense has been pretty good.

Golden Gophers earn a decisive win 37-13.
