The Ohio State football team won convincingly over Cincinnati Saturday 42-0. Where do the Buckeyes rank after that dominating win?

Week two games in the books and the AP poll that was released on Sunday has angered me beyond rationality. Clemson and three SEC teams make the top four as LSU’s win over Texas launches them over Oklahoma and Ohio State to arrive at number four in the rankings.

Georgia stays put at number three and Clemson and Alabama unsurprisingly lead the pack.

Seeing three SEC teams in the playoff would be devastating, and the fact that we even have this discussion to begin with is disappointing. Permit me to begin my College Football Playoff predictions after week two with a disclaimer:

While I detest the thought of three SEC teams being in the playoff, I will still make predictions fairly. With that being said, I think one of these picks may surprise you.

No. 1 Clemson

Clemson overpowered Kellen Mood and the Aggies on Saturday. The Tigers defense absolutely smothered A&M on the ground, holding them to whopping 53 yards rushing.

Kellen Mond threw for 236 yards with one score and an interception. That one touchdown Mond threw came with six seconds left in the game.

The Clemson Tigers are perpetually the number one team in my ranking barring something unforeseen.

One thing worth noting however is that Clemson cannot afford to lose. Their strength of schedule should not allow them entrance to the playoff with one loss over three undefeated teams.
