The Ohio State football team has been on a flipping frenzy in the last few weeks, bringing in new recruits from the 2026 recruiting class at a high rate. The Buckeyes have now gone from having the ninth-best class in the country to the sixth-best class in the nation.

Right now, the crowned jewel of that class is Chris Henry Jr. Henry Jr. is listed as the best receiver in the 2026 class and is the lone five-star recruit in the Ohio State Buckeyes' class, according to the composite. He has been locked in with Ohio State since 2023.

And yet, other schools have tried to take a run at flipping him before Early Signing Day in a couple of weeks. Oregon has been one of the teams trying to get him to change. Now, one of Oregon's players is sending him messages on social media to get him to flip.

Oregon receiver trying to get Ohio State recruit to flip his recruitment

Ducks receiver Dakorien Moore, whom the Buckeyes recruited hard, is trying to get Henry Jr. to flip to Oregon. He sent a message to him on social media for all to see.

Some Buckeye fans in his mentions playfully responded that this could mean that Moore would be looking to transfer to Ohio State next season. That's highly unlikely to happen, so Moore is certainly trying to recruit Henry Jr. to Eugene. He is unlikely to be successful in that endeavor, however.

There is no more locked-in recruit in this class than Henry Jr. He has been committed to the program for over two years now. If he was going to flip, he would have done so sometime in the last 12 months when NIL became legal and started to become a serious thing used in recruiting.

Oregon should stick to trying to win College Football Playoff games against Ohio State before trying to flip their recruits. Perhaps they would land more if they could win bigger games.
