No school has been hotter on the recruiting trail in the last few weeks than the Ohio State football team. They have been able to flip recruits at an alarming rate for other schools for the 2026 class, including one on Tuesday morning, linebacker Braxton Rembert.

The 2026 class is coming together nicely late in the cycle for the Ohio State Buckeyes. They have also started to get some momentum in the 2027 recruiting class. With Early Signing Day coming up at the beginning of December, Ohio State is about to shift its entire recruiting focus to 2027.

On Tuesday night, the Buckeyes were able to land their second recruit of the day. They got a commitment from four-star offensive tackle recruit Brody McNeel. McNeel becomes the seventh member of Ohio State's recruiting class for 2027.

McNeel stands at 6'5 and 285 pounds and is from Richmond, Virginia. He has already become the third offensive lineman for the Buckeyes in their 2027 recruiting class. Tyler Bowen has been very active on the recruiting trail, as Ohio State has five offensive linemen in the 2026 class.

None of the recruits that Bowen has landed have been blue-chip guys, but that doesn't mean he can't coach these players up to be really good starters. That's the hope with McNeel, who certainly has some talent. He just needs time to get some strength and some college coaching.

Ohio State is already doing well on the recruiting trail for next season, but it will be a very long time for which the Buckeyes will have to hold their commitments. Signing Day for the 2027 class isn't for another year. In today's NIL age, commitments don't seem to hold.

Still, Ohio State has to be very happy with how they have been able to recruit over the last few weeks. That will continue as long as they keep winning games.
