The Ohio State football team has had Chris Henry Jr. committed to the program for multiple years now. The number-one receiver in the 2026 class has been pledged to the Buckeyes since July of 2023. He's by far the most locked-in recruit that they have in this class.
With him leading the way, the Ohio State Buckeyes have the sixth-best recruiting class in the country. He is the only five-star recruit in the class according to the composite. Yet, programs have been coming after him since the season started because of how good he is.
No new information on that has come out in the last couple of months, but teams keep feeding some BS to reporters as they try to stir the pot. That's where a report from Rivals comes in, as they allege that multiple programs keep trying to poach Henry Jr. from the Buckeyes.
Teams are trying in vain to steal Chris Henry Jr. from the Ohio State football program
Brian Hartline has done a good job developing a really tight relationship with Henry Jr. over the last few years. Ryan Day has, as well. Those relationships are why Henry is not going anywhere. He knows that no program can develop him into an NFL receiver the way Ohio State can.
Henry Jr. is projected to be the next great Ohio State receiver once he gets on campus. He will be playing alongside Jeremiah Smith for a year, so that will give him a chance to see what greatness looks like up close and personal. He is not going anywhere.
Yet, Sam Spiegelman claims that Oregon, Texas, and other top programs are close to poaching him. However, Rivals turned off replies when they tweeted the article out. It's the only tweet that they have replies turned off for on their entire profile because they know how absurd this is.
Henry Jr. will be in Columbus next Fall because how how many guys the Buckeyes have projected to be first-round picks in April. It seems like they have a receiver in the first round every year, too. Henry Jr. wants to be the next player on that list.
