Ohio State vs. Texas kickoff time somehow made even worse thanks to coaches poll

This is something fans continue to be livid about.

History is about to be made on Aug. 30 regardless of what happens between the Ohio State football team going up against the Texas Longhorns in Columbus. This is a showdown that everyone's talking about and it truly can't get here any sooner.

The hype for this game reached a new level thanks to the preseason coaches poll coming out, with Texas ranked No. 1 in the country and Ohio State right behind them at No. 2. Unfortunately, though, plenty of people are also now talking about the fact that the time slot for this epic meeting is a complete and total joke.

For the first time EVER, the top two teams in the coaches poll will face off in Week 1 - and that game is scheduled for noon. Yup, FOX's Big Noon Kickoff will be televising this game and no one liked it when things were first announced. Fast forward to present time and it's got even more fans on both sides quite disgusted:

Ohio State vs. Texas being on Big Noon Kickoff continues to infuirate people

Don't forget for a second too that Ohio State officials tried to get things changed with people in Austin this offseason, but they didn't budge. The hope was that either a night game on Saturday or a move to Sunday would be in the works.

The Longhorns said no thanks, keeping things as is. Seriously? If anything, that has probably given the Buckeyes even more of a reason to take down UT in the season-opener and send a statement. If Ohio State gets that job done, which we think they will, people will be ready to troll Texas left and right.

Leading up to kickoff, the hype continues to grow for Arch Manning. He's entering his first season as the starting quarterback for Steve Sarkisian and people are getting ready to hear his Heisman Trophy speech later this year. Come on.

Caleb Downs and others will be quick to welcome Manning to The Shoe in a not so friendly way. This historic contest between Ohio State and Texas will be one to remember. Think Julian Sayin and Jeremiah Smith will be ready to ball out? You bet. Fans can't wait for this one, but it doesn't take away from the fact that the noon start remains absurd.
