Smith has a great shot to be a Heisman Finalist this season. As long as Julian Sayin shows some improvement, Smith is going to get a ton of targets. Playing this game will be very fun with the Ohio State Buckeyes. They might be the top-rated team in the polls when the game comes out, although they also have Oregon very highly rated. Watching the Buckeyes will be very fun this season, as well. The schedule will be a lot tougher than last year, though.
There is a chance that Ohio State makes the College Football Playoff again with two losses, as they did in 2024. That is the season that the Buckeyes ended up winning the national championship. That team was incredibly talented, and they were finally able to flip the switch at the right time.
This year's team is going to be one that has the switch flipped the entire time. It's a motivated squad after losing the final two games of last year. That is a scary proposition for the teams on their schedule, even if it is tougher than what they faced last year.
