The Ohio State football team fell short of its goal of winning back-to-back national championships. Losing consecutive games to Indiana and Miami is how they finished the season. While those two teams ended up playing for the national title, that doesn't make them feel any better about how things ended up.

Jeremiah Smith is particularly unhappy with how the season ended. He missed a block on the pick-six during the Cotton Bowl that flipped the entire complexion of the game. Smith has been stewing about that play and about how lackluster the offense was against the Hurricanes.

It's pretty clear that Smith is angry, and he has a lot of motivation heading into next season. In fact, Smith has given a devastating warning to all of the opponents of the Buckeyes heading into next season. It's a warning that all of the country should be frightened to hear.

While talking in a video for EA Sports College Football 26, for which he was a cover athlete, Smith issues his warning.

"It's going to be scary, I can say that. Three years of college ball. Going into my junior year, I'm just going to be on go every game. I feel like this year they took something from me, and everybody’s gotta pay for it. That's how I feel about my dream. I'm out for everybody."

Smith was one of the best players in all of college football in each of his first two years. Next season, he will have Julian Sayin in his second year as a starting quarterback. He should have some growth, which is scary for the rest of the country since he was a Heisman Finalist as a freshman.

Smith had more catches last year than he did as a freshman, but he had fewer yards and fewer touchdowns. Teams knew he was a problem, so they made sure to double him more in coverage. Next season, Smith seems to have a plan for that.

It will all start against Ball State on September 5th in the Shoe next season. The Ohio State Buckeyes certainly need him to play at his best all season long.
