The Ohio State football team finally got the monkey off its back in November by beating TTUN. It was a game that wasn't close once the second half started, as they routed the Wolverines 27-9. It was a win that capped an undefeated regular season for the Buckeyes, as well.

Beating Michigan with his own players was the last big flaw on Ryan Day's resume. Julian Sayin became a Heisman Finalist in part because of how well he played after the first quarter of that game. He became the first Buckeye quarterback to beat TTUN since Justin Fields.

Sayin looked experienced beyond his years for most of the regular season. He understood how big that game was, but he didn't let it get into his head. He recently spoke with former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer about that game and how calm he felt.

Ohio State QB Julian Sayin says he didn't feel pressure against TTUN

While appearing on The Triple Option Podcast, Sayin spoke with Meyer about that game. What he said will make Michigan fans cry.

"I think the team kind of had a great mindset going into it. We weren't really feeling a ton of pressure. We know how much it means to the state of Ohio and to our fan base, but walking into that stadium, it was just, it was a ton of fun. We had a bunch of juice, and obviously, off the bat, I threw the interception. After that, I felt we were just in control."

For Sayin to say he didn't feel pressure is a pretty crazy statement. Ohio State fans were ready to combust on Ryan Day once again if they didn't win that game on the road. Yet, Sayin says the team was juiced and ready to compete. They certainly took it to the Wolverines.

The Buckeyes are hoping for a repeat performance from Sayin in The Game in the Shoe in November this season. Day has yet to beat Michigan two years in a row, and he will have just his second chance to do that in 2026.
