Brady Edmunds and Jamier Brown are two of the cornerstones of the Buckeyes' 2027 recruiting class. Even though Edmunds, the four-star quarterback from southern California, and Brown, the five-star wide receiver from the Columbus metro area, are in different parts of the country, it's not unusual for elite recruits to get together at some of the major offseason showcases.
So it was nice to see two of the top Buckeye commits catching up on the camp circuit and flexing their status as future Ohio State stars.

There's no context to the photo, and it could've been taken recently or over the summer or last year, but the point remains simple — Ohio State got two good ones and all Buckeyes should be excited about what Edmunds and Brown can do for the program.
Brady Edmunds and Jamier Brown embrace the expectations
In recent years, the Buckeyes have continued to raise the bar when it comes to the explosive passing game. It seems like just yesterday when Justin Fields was throwing bombs to Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson. From there, it was C.J. Stroud connecting with Jaxon Smith-Njigba for a school record 1,605 yards in 2021, and Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka in 2022. Over the past two seasons, it's been Will Howard and Julian Sayin both throwing to two-time All American Jeremiah Smith.
So, with that sort of history, it seems fair to place these high expectations on Edmunds and Brown to continue the trend as we approach the end of the decade. The good news is that Edmunds and Brown want all the smoke.
"He and I aren't playing games," Edmunds said to 247Sports in September. "I have a good relationship with [Brown] because I know he and I are going to be the foundation of this class for the next five to six years, however long it is."
Not only does Ohio State want to recruit the best of the best, but those players need to embrace all that comes with being a Buckeye — the tradition, the work ethic and the expectations. It is good to see that Edmunds and Brown are ready for everything that lies ahead.Â
