If you take a close look at what Ohio State and Ryan Day are getting done with the 2028 class, it's an incredibly difficult task to not be blown away. With quarterback Christopher Vargas announcing for the Buckeyes, it gives Day three 5-star commits for the '28 haul. And you know what, two more could be on the way in the near future.
Indeed, Ohio State fans need to keep a close eye on wide receiver Braylon Clark and defensive lineman Tyzon Swann. Right after Vargas committed to Ohio State, Swann in particular didn't hold back with his thoughts on how big of a get it was for the Big Ten powerhouse. It sure feels like it has given Swann something to think about moving forward too.

5-stars Braylon Clark and Tyzon Swann clearly have strong interest in Ohio State
It's really no surprise that there's so much hype surrounding Day's recruiting efforts right now, as Vargas joins fellow 5-star commits Jett Harrison and Jameer Whyce, while 4-star running back Elijah Newman-Hall is also on board. That's what cooking with gas out on the recruiting trail is all about, with Day turning heads.
Imagine if Swann and Clark decide to grab a seat at the table too. Swann would be a force in the trenches for Larry Johnson, as the 6-4, 245-pounder is ranked the No. 2 defensive lineman in the country and No. 10 prospect nationally overall.
With 49 offers to his name, it speaks volumes to how highly-touted of a playmaker he is. Ohio State is among the schools standing out a bit early on, but Auburn, Florida and Maryland are also going all-in to grab his verbal pledge.
Switching gears to Clark, he'd give the Bucks yet another elite wideout if he decides he wants to play his college ball in Columbus. Plenty of signs are pointing in that direction, as both Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons locked in their predictions this summer for Ohio State to come out on top. Clark, a 6-3, 185-pounder, also has shown strong interest in both Tennessee and Oregon.
He has picked up 34 offers throughout his recruitment, while also being ranked the No. 4 receiver in the country and No. 12 talent overall for the '28 group. In a perfect world, Day would land both Clark and Swann, but it's not that outlandish to think about at all. Both studs are giving Ohio State a close look, and you've got to figure visits during the season are currently in the works. Should that happen, it will only boost Day's chances of reeling in both. If we had to guess, we'd predict for both of them to eventually be Ohio State-bound, which would be incredible to see.
