The Ohio State Buckeyes and Ryan Day are off to a blazing start for the 2027 class. There are already seven known commits on board, but No. 8 could be coming on Friday. All eyes are on linebacker Quinton Cypher, who will be announcing soon. Quarterback Brady Edmunds is doing his part to get him to Columbus as well.

With his decision around the corner, Edmunds didn't mince words when doing some recruiting for Ryan Day on social media. Edmunds, a stud quarterback from California, has actively been recruiting talent for the Buckeyes for a while now, as he's already showing tremendous leadership before even officially joining the team:

Edmunds gave the Buckeyes his verbal in December 2024, showing just how excited he was to lock things in with Day and Co. As for Cyper, he's down to Ohio State, Alabama, Miami and Georgia. Earlier this week, multiple predictions came in for Ohio State to win this massive recruiting battle.

It sure would be a big-time get, as Cypher is ranked four stars and the No. 11 linebacker in the country according to the 247Sports composite. He's a stud linebacker and he'd be a welcome addition to the Buckeyes defense for Matt Patricia down the road.

Over on offense, Edmunds is also hoping to help Ohio State land 4-star tight end Brock Williams, who appears to have his eyes on the Buckeyes, Georgia and Texas. Williams is a true superstar and Ohio State would obviously love to land him too.

Soon enough, we'll see which '27 playmaker is the next one to grab a seat at the table, but Day has got to love Edmunds taking on this kind of a role. He hasn't even thrown a pass for Ohio State yet and he won't be able to practice with the team for at least another 13 months or so. Still, he's making an impact and Edmunds will surely be jacked up if Cypher announces for the Buckeyes come Friday.
