Ohio State football may have broken Michigan after latest TTUN firing

Ohio State forced TTUN to have some major program turnover after crushing them in November.

The Ohio State football program finished the regular season 12-0 for the first time since the 2019 season. That was also the only time that Ryan Day had come away with a win against TTUN. In 2025, the Buckeyes made sure there was no chance that TTUN would win.

Ohio State ended up winning the game 27-9 in a game that Michigan never had a shot to win. Shortly after that blowout victory, Sherrone Moore had a crashout and was fired. Had he won that game, there's a shot that TTUN would have looked the other way on his indiscretions.

Instead, he was let go. It has been three months since the Ohio State Buckeyes had that beatdown in Ann Arbor. Even though that was the last game that TTUN played in the regular season, that game is still having some fallout within Michigan, as they have let go of another prominent figure.

Michigan parts ways with GM months after losing to Ohio State

According to Pete Nakos of ON3, the Wolverines have parted ways with GM Sean Magee. Magee had been the general manager of the Wolverines since 2024 after previously holding the title of Associate Athletic Director for Football there from 2017 to 2022.

Magee was on staff under Jim Harbaugh when Connor Stalions was there. It seems that TTUn is trying to clean house of everyone from that tainted era of football, especially now that Moore is no longer the face of the program. They are getting everyone rallied around Kyle Whittingham.

As for the Buckeyes, it has to be extremely satisfying that they were able to basically get both Moore and Magee fired this year. They are clearly the program that is back on top in this rivalry, and that looks like it won't be changing for the next few years.

Ryan Day finally got the monkey off his back this past season. Now, it's time for him to keep that train rolling and finally win a home game against TTUN in 2026,
