We know that everyone needs to take things one game at a time. However, we don't blame people if they've already circled their calendars for the Ohio State football game vs. Penn State in Week 10. It's going to be a matchup that should feature two of the Top 5 teams in the country.
To say James Franklin hasn't done well vs. the Buckeyes would be an understatement and while he might have some revenge on his mind, the fact of the matter is that the environment in Columbus is going to be brutal for him and the OSU coaches will be ready.
The Buckeyes are also going to have an extra week to prepare for the Nittany Lions, as they have a BYE in Week 9. Penn State does as well, but this will 100 percent give Ohio State an advantage for that contest at The Shoe. Why, you ask?
This heavily favors Ohio State. Ryan Day is great with extended prep time https://t.co/kpQkoKUaX3

Throughout his career, Ohio State head man Ryan Day is 9-0 after a bye week, which is unreal. As for Franklin? He's 6-7, which is something Penn State fans want to try and forget about as soon as possible. How can he be below .500 for his career when given extra time to prep?
That's a Penn State problem and not something for Ohio State to worry about. Penn State supporters are quick to bring up that the Nittany Lions now have Jim Knowles, who stunned plenty of people when he left Day's staff to team up with Franklin.
Contract drama surrounded everything there and now Knowles would love nothing more than to stick it to his former team. Well, the same can be said for the Buckeyes, as they'll be ready to send Knowles home with a late-season loss to add to his resume.
That dance between Ohio State and Penn State is going to have major College Football Playoff implications as well. Can you imagine if both teams are undefeated leading up to kickoff? That's going to be an unreal showdown in early November and we can't wait for it.
Both Big Ten powers indeed will have extra time to get ready for the mammoth battle, but come on, look for Ohio State to make a statement and use that extra week to come up with the perfect plan to ruin Penn State's day. It's going to be a long day for Franklin, Knowles and everyone else donning Penn State colors.
