Ohio State lost a lot of starters after their National Championship season, many of them on the defensive side of the ball. So this season, a lot of new guys will step up in their new positions, and there is one Buckeye who is really up for the challenge.
Arvell Reese is heading into his junior season with the team, but he only really has stats from the 2023 season. Reese had a total of 43 tackles, 18 solo tackles, last season as well as half a sack. So heading into this season, he has some experience, but experience is the only thing he needs in order to do what Ryan Day asked of you. Reese has the best attitude heading into the 2025 season.
"Think I'm a huge difference maker," Reese said. "I feel like I'm always around the ball, I'm sideline to sideline, I think I can do a lot of stuff on the field too."
Arvell Reese is "ready for it" ahead of his first season as #OhioState's starting middle linebacker.

Reese will be the starting middle linebacker for the Buckeyes this season, with some with a lot more than just stepping on the field and doing his job. Being the guy in the middle of the field means helping call plays and getting everyone where they need to be before the snap. This position will be a true leadership position for Reese, and he has the ability to really break out in this role.
Ohio State had the No. 1 defense in the country last season, so Reese has a lot to live up to in terms of leading this defense. The Buckeyes will have a lot of changes on the offense as well, so keeping the defense at the level it was last season will be huge for this team.
Reese seems ready for the challenge this season and ready to help lead Ohio State to another National Championship.
