The Ohio State football program is the last team to beat Sherrone Moore as a head coach. The Buckeyes took down TTUn 27-9 in a game that they totally dominated. Ryan Day has gotten the monkey off his back in that rivalry, and now it looks like he's going to continue to be the one on top.
Just a couple of weeks after the Ohio State Buckeyes took down Michigan, TTUN fired Moore, and now he is sitting in a jail cell. Things went from bad to worse for Moore very quickly. Michigan will have to find a new head coach who will have to pick up the pieces and clean up the damage from what has happened.
It's very likely that Michigan will lose recruits from the 2026 recruiting class now that this has all happened. What's even worse for them is that they could lose some players from this past year's roster, including Bryce Underwood. That is all good news for Ohio State.
The Ohio State football program is poised for another dominant run vs TTUN
With everything that has happened surrounding this situation, Ohio State looks like it will be put in the driver's seat for the next several years in this rivalry. This is permanent damage that has now been done to Michigan, and it will likely cost AD Warde Manuel his job.
It's unlikely that TTUN will be able to take a top-tier coach from somewhere else. That means that Michigan is going to be stuck with a hire that the boosters and fans do not like. For Ohio State, that means it's going to be easier to beat them in that final game of the regular season.
The Buckeyes are more focused on winning another national championship than this whole saga. Nevertheless, the Buckeyes are going to benefit from another incompetent situation handled by Michigan.
