Multiple former Ohio State football players have clips go viral in training camp

Almost every year, it seems that the Ohio State Buckeyes produce elite-level NFL talent. That has been the case again in the last couple of years. Those Buckeyes are now starting to turn some heads and go viral early in training camp in the last few days.

Carnell Tate was the fourth overall pick this past April, and the Titans are happy that they took him so far. He has justified their pick early in camp, and he isn't the only former Buckeye who is impressing NFL teams, as Josh Simmons and Caleb Downs are also raising eyebrows.

Tate has had a string of great catches early on in training camp. Take a look at this one, which is just his most recent great play as a rookie in training camp.

Last year with the Buckeyes, Tate finished with 51 catches for 875 yards and nine touchdowns in just 11 games played. He showed that he can be a true game-changer when he is healthy. Early in his NFL career, he is showing that same level of play in Tennessee.

Tate isn't the only former Buckeye doing amazing things. His teammate this past year, Caleb Downs, is already looking like the steal of the first round with his play so far in Dallas. He has been seen locking down receivers and doing great things in pass coverage, which is only part of what he can do.

Downs can be seen here winning a rep against CeeDee Lamb, who is the best offensive weapon that the Cowboys have. He's one of the best receivers in the NFL when he is healthy, too. Winning a rep like that is very impressive for him at this stage.

Finally, Simmons has fully recovered from the knee injury that made him miss the final stretch of the 2024 campaign with the Buckeyes and is really crushing it for the Chiefs.

Simmons did miss some time in Kansas City last year as he was dealing with a personal issue. That seems to be cleared up, and Simmons looks ready to be the starting left tackle for the next decade, taking care of Patrick Mahomes' blind side.

Ohio State still has plenty of talent left on this year's roster to win it all

While these players are killing it at the next level, the Buckeyes still have plenty of talent this year to win a lot of games. They are the top-ranked team in the country, according to the coaches. Replacing Tate and Downs won't be easy, but they seem to love their options at safety and receiver.

Ohio State will continue to work tirelessly over the next few weeks before Week 1 arrives. Ball State should be an easy opponent, but the work really begins in Week 2 against the Longhorns of Texas. They are one of the few SEC teams not scared to play the Buckeyes right now, and Ohio State is looking to make it three straight wins over them.
