The true freshman season for Jeremiah Smith was just about perfect. We say 'just about' because there was one unfortunate experience he went through that still has him ticked off. We're of course talking about the loss in late November to the team up north.

Michigan has now beaten Ohio State football four years in a row, which is something that has countless people in Columbus quite disgusted. The list includes Smith. Yes, he helped Ohio State win the National Championship, but the loss to the Wolverines is still fresh on his mind.

He made that much clear in a new interview with The Athletic. While speaking to reporter Manny Navarro, Smith didn't hold back with his words on Michigan. He also delivered a personal guarantee that has college football fans everywhere talking.

Jeremiah Smith has guaranteed he won't lose to Michigan again while playing for Ohio State

“I’m not a sore loser, but I hate losing, and losing to that team up north was pretty crazy,” Smith told Navarro. “In the end, I think it really helped us play the way we did in the playoffs. But I didn’t want to go to Ohio State and lose to that team up north. I just hate them. Just something about them. For the next two years, I promise you, I will not lose to them. I can’t lose to them in the next two years.”

Tell us how you really feel, Jeremiah. It's no secret that Ohio State fans were pretty bummed after the loss to Michigan. With that said, the Jack Sawyer scoop and score against Texas in the College Football Playoff, which Michigan watched from home, made plenty of people forget about it.

Oh, and when Ryan Day lifted the title trophy high into the sky with Will Howard close by, the loss to Michigan was the last thing anyone had in mind. It was time to celebrate, with Smith's unreal catch late in the action vs. Notre Dame also making a monster difference.

Sherrone Moore recently trolled Ohio State after he landed 5-star Carter Meadows over the Buckeyes. That moment adds to the list of motivation Ohio State has when it comes to getting sweet revenge in the future. This fall, Smith will be hyped up to back his words and power Ohio State over Michigan. If he doesn't, Michigan fans will be quick to let him hear about it.
