It's a play that will go down in Ohio State football history. We're of course talking about what former Buckeyes pass-rusher Jack Sawyer was able to get done against the Texas Longhorns with a trip to the College Football Playoff title game on the line.
Sawyer flew off the edge, got a hold of Quinn Ewers, stripped the ball, scooped it up and then rumbled his way down the field for the play of his life. The rest is history, with the Buckeyes winning and then going on to take down Notre Dame for all of the glory. It's something Sawyer is never going to forget. Watch the clip below of him reliving his unreal moment. Yup, it's impossible to not smile after seeing it:

“I look back for the last time and all I see is 4 or 5 of my teammates running with their hands up.”
“At that moment I was like, I’m gonna score this.” 🔥🌰

Ohio State great Jack Sawyer reliving his TD vs. Texas is a thing of beauty
Absolutely legendary. What's wild is that before that 4th down play, Texas was on the verge of tying things up, as they had the ball right down near the goal line. However, some ridiculous play-calling set them back and then Ewers was put in a passing situation on that crucial 4th down.
So many Buckeyes fans were worried sick that the former 5-star quarterback would be able to create some magic for the Longhorns. However, Sawyer was there to save the day right before Ewers was about to let the ball loose. Chris Fowler's call of the Sawyer score made things even better overall too.

Both Sawyer and Will Howard are now getting ready to start their pro careers, doing so together with the Steelers. From the moment Mike Tomlin selected both of them in the NFL Draft, countless Ohio State supporters have jumped on the Steelers bandwagon.
Sawyer is also going to have Cam Heyward taking him under his wing, which is awesome. What Sawyer was able to get done in Columbus is something that people are always going to hold close to their hearts. Obviously, that play vs. Texas alone will have him welcomed back to campus whenever he wants too.
