With it officially being the week of The Game, the Ohio State football team can finally look forward to exercising its demons. The Buckeyes haven't lost a game in a year, and TTUN was the last team they lost to. Losing four straight games has not been fun for them, and they are desperate to end the losing streak.
Heading into the game, Ohio State has some injury concerns with its receivers. Neither Jeremiah Smith nor Carnell Tate played against Rutgers, so their status is going to be something to keep an eye on all week. That is the biggest piece of news to follow.
However, TTUN also has quite a few injuries that they are dealing with, as well. They have already said Justice Haynes is out for the game. He isn't the only player who might be out for this game. In fact, TTUN has bigger injury issues than the Ohio State Buckeyes do.
Michigan has serious injury problems heading into game against Ohio State
Haynes isn't the only one who is hurt for the Wolverines heading into this game. TTUN also had tight end Max Max Bredeson leave the game against Maryland. He was seen after the game in a walking boot, which doesn't bode well for his chances to play against the Buckeyes.
Bredeson is a key player that they use for run plays, as he is a solid blocker. However, the Wolverines will have Jordan Marshall back for this game. Sherrone Moore said he could have played against the Terps, but they decided to hold him out. The question is how effective he'll be.
These injuries will make it easier for Ohio State to win this game, but that doesn't mean that it will be easy by any means. The emotional weight of losing four straight games is going to weigh heavily on the team in this game. Ryan Day is going to make sure his team is ready for this game.
Ohio State has been working towards this game for weeks.
