Just minutes after beating Rutgers, Day said his team is already focused on beating TTUN next week.

This is finally the week the Ohio State football team has been waiting for. After beating Rutgers 42-9 on Senior Day, it has become Beat Michigan week. It was pretty clear that the Buckeyes had looked ahead to that game in the first half, but they got in gear for the second half to win this game.

Minutes after the clock hit zero, the Ohio State Buckeyes were already focused on beating Michigan. Ryan Day has lost to TTUN four straight times, having beaten them only once in his head coaching career. That was back in 2019, which was his first year as the head coach.

Right after beating Rutgers, FOX sideline reporter Jenny Taft pulled Day aside for a postgame interview. She asked about that game coming next Saturday, and Day acknowledged how big of a week it will be, and even shared that the Buckeyes were already talking about it on the sidelines.

In his interview, Day made it clear what the week coming up will be like.

"Guys are already talking about it on the sideline. Everybody is already locked in and fired up. It's going to be a hell of a week,"

Day knows what this game means. He remembers how terrible it was for him and his family when they lost that game at home a year ago. The last thing he wants is to extend the losing streak to five. Yet, Day has had a different look in his eye all season long.

Ever since that loss, Day has been focused in a way that he wasn't before. The Buckeyes ripped through the College Football Playoff last year and have crushed every opponent this season. This team looks better than last year's championship team. Day is ready to get this monkey off his back.

The question is whether or not he'll have his two ace receivers available for the game. Jeremiah Smith will likely play, but it's still up in the air if Carnell Tate will play for the Buckeyes again this season. This week will be focused on those two leading up to game time.
