A few days after Week 1, people are still talking about the controversial win that TTUN got over Western Michigan. It seemed that WMU had gotten the win, but somehow there was time left. Fans are still unhappy with the Big Ten's explanation for why that occurred.
Ohio State fans were not surprised that the Wolverines seemed to be up to their cheating ways again. Pollsters essentially treated that game as a loss for them, dropping them out of the top 25. Former Buckeye receiver Garrett Wilson wasn't surprised by the outcome, though.

While speaking to the media for the first time since the game happened, the former Ohio State great was asked about his thoughts on the ending of the game. He didn't mince words when it came to TTUN and how things ended up.
"I didn't watch it. I was watching tennis, honestly. But it don't surprise me, them getting the nod on some BS. It's too bad it wasn't their (the MAC) refs on the game.
Wilson isn't shocked that Michigan once again somehow ended up getting the benefit of the doubt. He was with the Buckeyes during the height of the Wolverines' cheating scandal. He knows what that program is about, and it certainly isn't honor. No other team in the country would have gotten this break.
It's clear that Wilson still hates TTUN with every fiber in his being, which is a good thing. Every former Buckeye should still have that hatred in them. The hatred for them has only grown across the country after this incident, and pretty much everyone in America will be rooting for Oklahoma this week.
Ohio State will be focused on beating Texas while TTUN flounders again
While TTUN will be trying to save its season in Week 2, the Ohio State Buckeyes have something bigger on their mind. They will have all of their attention on fourth-ranked Texas. Winning that game would send a huge statement to the rest of college football when it comes to their ability to win a national championship.
The Buckeyes have won the last two matchups in each of the last two years. They first beat them in the Cotton Bowl in 2024 to advance to the national title, 28-14. Last year, they beat the Longhorns in the Shoe 14-7 in the first game of the season. They feel very confident heading into this game.
Steve Sarkisian continues to have excuses ready just in case the Buckeyes win this game again. Ryan Day made it very clear that the team moved on from the victory against Ball State very quickly, as they know what is at stake this week.
Before the game kicks off at 7:30 PM ET, Ohio State football fans will get a chance to watch TTUN likely lose to the Sooners at noon. Some Buckeyes might even flip on that game before they start getting ready for their big matchup, too.
