The Ohio State football program lost five wide receivers from the 2025 team. They were expecting to lose Carnell Tate to the NFL Draft, but they weren't expecting to lose four more to the Transfer Portal. They were able to replenish some of that talent by using the portal, but they still lost a lot of depth.
Bodpegn Miller was one of those receivers who decided to head to the portal. Miller is a former four-star recruit in the 2025 class. He didn't play this past season with the Buckeyes. It would have been hard for him to crack the rotation in the 2026 season, also.
For that reason, Miller decided to leave the Ohio State Buckeyes. Miller floated around in the portal for a while, and he has finally decided on a new home. He will be staying in the Big Ten Conference, as he has decided to sign with the Washington Huskies.
Former Ohio State receiver Bodpegn Miller signs with Washington
Miller will stay in the Big Ten and will compete for playing time next season. He will still have Demond Williams as his quarterback, but he has to fight his way into the top four of the depth chart in order to get snaps. That is going to be a tough thing for him to do.
The Buckeyes won't miss Miller. They have already reloaded at the receiver position by adding two five-star recruits from the 2026 class. What's interesting is that Miller won't face his former team in the regular season until 2028, which would be his final year with the Huskies.
There are still a couple of former Ohio State football players floating around in the Transfer Portal looking for new homes. Sometimes, the grass isn't always greener on the other side. A lot of players who entered the portal are learning that very tough lesson.
