Last season, the Ohio State football program completely broke Michigan. Not only did they destroy them in Ann Arbor, but they also completely crumbled the foundation that the team had built. Ohio State went on to play for the Big Ten Championship and finished the regular season 12-0.
On the opposite side of the spectrum, TTUN had to fire Sherrone Moore a couple of weeks after this game due to his having had an inappropriate relationship with a staffer. Several players transferred away, and now they are trying to build a new culture.
Beating TTUN 27-9 hasn't stopped one former Wolverine from talking smack, though. Makari Paige is a former Michigan safety. After his time was over with TTUN, he went undrafted and has only managed to be signed by practice squads. Despite his lack of talent, he went after OSU.

On Paige's Instagram story, he was angry that the game made it hard to play at the Shoe. He claims it was never that hard to play there.

Before Michigan was embroiled in a cheating scandal, it was incredibly hard for TTUN to play in the Shoe. Before winning in 2022, which is when the cheating started, Michigan hadn't won in the Shoe since 2000. That was before Paige was even born.
This season, it will be hard for the Wolverines to play against the Buckeyes in Columbus. Ohio State is by far the more talented team, and TTUN is still picking up the pieces from what happened last season. Bryce Underwood looked broken at the end of the year, too.
Paige should probably have kept his mouth shut. Just because he won twice in Columbus with the aid of illegal intel doesn't mean he can spout off nonsense. Had TTUN not cheated, Ohio State would have won in 2022. The Buckeyes won a national championship in 2024, so that loss was redeemed.
Ohio State will pulverize Michigan come November
The Buckeyes are going to be ready to take down TTUN again this year. In November, they are going to protect the Shoe. It will be a very intense atmosphere for that game. Julian Sayin already proved he could deal with adversity against TTUN by beating them last year in Ann Arbor.
Beating the Wolverines in the Shoe is something that Ryan Day has yet to accomplish. It's the last thing on his resume as an Ohio State coach that is glaring. If he can win this year, the Buckeyes will once again be in good shape to compete for a Big Ten title and a national championship.
Despite a tough schedule, Ohio State should be considered one of the best teams in the country. Beating Michigan will be part of their resume once November rolls around. It's just a shame that Paige won't be on the field so that Jeremiah Smith can carve him up.
Smith will have to settle for making other Michigan defensive backs look foolish.
