The Ohio State football program has one of the best receivers in modern college football history on the roster. In terms of talent, Jeremiah Smith is as good as any receiver the Buckeyes have had in the last few years. Not just that, but any receiver anyone in college football has had.

Smith is one of the most dangerous weapons in the country. Going against him every day in practice made the Ohio State secondary elite. It's part of the reason why the Ohio State Buckeyes had the best defense in the country. The secondary was definitely the best in the country.

Davison Igbinosun was part of that secondary for the past three seasons. He is at the NFL Combine trying to increase his draft stock. While talking to the media at the Combine, he gave Smith the ultimate compliment.

Ohio State CB says Jeremiah Smith is the best receiver he's ever gone against

Igbinosun let everyone know that Smith was the hardest receiver that he ever had to cover from any team.

"They're all tough to guard. But I would say who stood out the most is Jeremiah Smith. He walked in the building doing some things we’ve never seen before. So I would say him."

Smith appreciated the compliment and posted on social media to thank him for it.

Igbinosun played against some really good receivers, including ones from Texas, Notre Dame, Michigan, Indiana, and Oregon. Smith was the hardest one to cover. Quite frankly, Smith is an athletic freak who can catch any ball that comes near him, even when he's injured.

Next season, Smith has vowed to have a monster season. He has already won a national championship and beaten Michigan, but he still has goals he wants to achieve. Smith has never won a Big Ten title. He wants to win another national title, which would put him in a different stratosphere when it comes to the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Igbinosun saw firsthand just how good Smith is.
