Still celebrating the Ohio State win over Michigan on Saturday? Trust us when we say that you're not the only one. Michigan saw its four-game winning streak end, with the Ohio State players celebrating in style after the final whistle. The coaches were also pretty jacked up, including running backs coach Carlos Locklyn.
Michigan players tried waiting for Ohio State in the tunnel after the Buckeyes' win
We don't have to tell you that people love the man known as Coach Lock and he gave the OSU faithful another reason to smile in Ann Arbor. Shortly after the final whistle, Locklyn was quick to yell out at former Ohio State assistant Tony Alford, who famously left Columbus to join Sherrone Moore's staff at Michigan. Look at Coach Lock with a smile on his face going after him a bit after the Ohio State win:

Carlos Locklyn and Ohio State sure enjoyed taking down Tony Alford and Michigan
Come on, that's just rich right there, and with the snow on the ground, it made things all the better. This was a game that looked like it was going to be close early on, but in the second half the Buckeyes dominated on both sides of the ball.
On the ground, Alford's group couldn't get going vs. the Buckeyes aggressive defensive front. The same couldn't be said for Locklyn and Ohio State, as the reigning champs rushed for 186 yards compared to Michigan's 100. Julian Sayin out-matched Bryce Underwood too with the passing attack.
Alford caught everyone by surprise when he left during spring ball ahead of the 2024 season. He also called out the Buckeyes a bit by claiming Michigan was the better team. While Michigan won the rivalry game last year, Ohio State won the National Championship Game and they got their revenge this weekend. With Alford leaving, it opened the door for Locklyn to be hired. Things have worked out pretty well there.
All in all, Ryan Day could not have been happier with the win and it had to be pretty sweet for him to get this Michigan-Ohio State monkey off his back. As for Alford, he and the Wolverines will now be watching the CFP from home thanks to the Buckeyes. It's business as usual for Day, Locklyn and the rest of the Ohio State locker room. Next up, the Buckeyes have shot at the Big Ten title and then a push for another natty.
