Tony Alford's Ohio State football disrespect reached new low during the Texas game

This is just absurd.

If there's anything we've learned about former Ohio State football assistant Tony Alford this offseason, it's that he really doesn't have much love for his former employer. Not long ago, Alford threw some shade at the Buckeyes, claiming Michigan is better.

Yeah, plenty of people in Columbus are going to disagree with that. Funny enough, when Alford was still with Ohio State in 2023, Michigan won the natty. Then, after he bolted for Ann Arbor, Ohio State ended up winning it all in 2024.

Now, it looks like Alford is doing his best to make life difficult for his biggest rival. On Saturday, the Buckeyes brought in elite prospect Myson Johnson-Cook in for a visit. While he was in the stands, Alford called to offer him a ride to Michigan. Seriously? He knew exactly what he was doing with this:

Come on, you just know that Alford knew that Johnson-Cook was in Columbus watching the game live between the No. 1 team and the No. 2 team in the country. Despite Johnson-Cook being at Ohio State, Alford wanted to make sure he knew Michigan wanted him.

The smile on Johnson-Cook's face too lets everyone know he was pretty fired up to get that new scholarship. According to the 247Sports Composite, the 6-2, 220-pounder is ranked five stars, the No. 2 athlete in the country and No. 31 prospect nationally.

He's up to 41 offers now that Michigan is on the board for him. There's no question that his trip to Columbus was a memorable one, as he was able to get a close-up look at the Buckeyes stunning the Longhorns and Arch Manning. Despite that, he'll always remember Michigan offering while he was on the OSU campus. This was a sneaky move from Alford and one that the Ohio State coaching staff and Ryan Day can't be happy about.
