Bryce Underwood comments send Ohio State football fans laughing uncontrollably

There's no way he actually believes what he's saying, right?

The Ohio State football program seemed to break Bryce Underwood on the field. Last November, they smothered him. They made TTUN try to beat them with the passing game, and he couldn't do it. Underwood finished that game 8-18 for 63 yards and an interception.

The Ohio State Buckeyes won the game 27-9 in a game that wasn't close after the first half. After that game, he stunk in Michigan's bowl game against Texas, throwing three picks. This spring, the vibes were bad around TTUN. Eric Weddle called out Underwood for not being a good quarterback.

Underwood has heard all of the naysayers, and he still has confidence in himself. If he's a halfway decent quarterback, he should still have confidence in himself. Now, he's saying things that are making Ohio State football fans fall on the floor laughing.

Bryce Underwood claims he's the best prospect to ever come out of Michigan

While Underwood was at a camp, he was asked what he thinks he is at this point. Underwood then made the most hilarious comment he's ever said.

"I feel like I'm the best player to ever come out of Michigan. Now, it's time for me to show it. I'm working smarter than I was last season."

The best player to come out of Michigan? He was a bottom-half of the Big Ten quarterback last year. He flat-out stunk, especially in the biggest games that he played. Why would he think that he's the best player to ever come out of the state? That's not confidence; that's delusion.

Of course, Underwood should be better next year. He's a sophomore, and he's had a full year of starting under his belt. There are questions whether or not he's going to actually be good enough to finish the season as the starter, let alone being the best player to ever come out of the state.

Bryce Underwood might not even start against Ohio State

There is a chance that Underwood is not going to be the starter by the time TTUN comes to Columbus in November. If he truly ends up stinking this season, the current coaching staff has no incentive to keep playing him. Kyle Whittingham didn't recruit him or coach him last year. He has no loyalty to him.

It might actually be better if the Buckeyes got to face Underwood in the Shoe. They have already proven that they can take down Underwood when he plays at home. Imagine him on the road in the Shoe with the way he played last season. That's something that Buckeye fans should dream of.

Ohio State doesn't have these problems. They have Julian Sayin, who is a proven top-tier starter and someone who almost won a Heisman. The Buckeyes should feel great about their offensive prowess heading into the year. TTUN should have the opposite thought.

This is going to be a funny season to watch the Wolverines navigate next season. Ohio State should be at the top of the Big Ten, while they might struggle to win eight games.
