The Ohio State football program has fans all over the world. They have one of the largest alumni bases, and the Buckeyes have pretty much always been good. That's also part of the reason why the Ohio State Buckeyes are one of the most hated college football teams in the country.

Whenever College GameDay comes to town, Ohio State has plenty of celebrities to choose from to come to the set. That has always been the case, and it will continue to be the case. One of the many former guests on College GameDay in Columbus is baseball player Bryce Harper.

Harper has been one of the best players in Major League Baseball for quite a while. He currently plays for the Philadelphia Phillies. Yet, he is an Ohio State fan because of his wife, who attended the school. He showed off his fandom in a unique way while he was playing against Cleveland.

Harper was playing against the Cleveland Guardians on Saturday night. In order to show off his love of the Buckeyes. He sported a headband that had the Scarlet and Gray on it.

Athletes from other sports have shown off their love of the Ohio State Buckeyes before. LeBron James is perhaps the most famous one, as he continues to give the Buckeyes gifts for both the football and the basketball programs. He does that despite not attending the university and having neither of his kids go there, either.

Harper didn't attend Ohio State, either. Yet, he clearly supports them in a big way. He will continue to support the Buckeyes. Right now, he's very focused on getting the Phillies into the playoffs. Right now, the Phillies sit in third place in the NL East.

Ohio State will likely need a Buckeye fanatic to be on set for College GameDay at some point this year

It's highly likely that Ohio State will need to have a celebrity ready to go for a GameDay appearance at some point. It is very likely that the Buckeyes will host GameDay later this year. The game against Oregon is the most likely game to have GameDay on campus, as it should be a huge game.

Those two teams are two of the best teams in the country, not just the Big Ten. That game in Columbus in early November will have plenty of conference implications. There could be one of the biggest games of the year for both programs.

Harper will likely be in attendance for that big game against the Ducks. Ohio State needs to be ready by the time that game rolls around, which they should be. They will be in midseason form by that point in the year.

Ohio State already has a celebrity they will be going against in Week 2 when they travel to Austin to play the Texas Longhorns. College GameDay will be there, as will thousands of screaming fans cheering against Ohio State.
