The Ohio State football program is known for producing the best receivers in the country every single year. In each of the last four drafts, they have had a receiver go in the first round of the NFL Draft. That will continue this year once Carnell Tate is selected, likely in the top 10.

Despite losing Tate, the Buckeyes still have an incredible group of receivers. Jeremiah Smith still leads the charge, but he is far from the only receiver who is talented. True freshman Brock Boyd has been getting a lot of attention in spring practice, proving he might get snaps early in his career.

Chris Henry Jr. is the receiver that most expected to play right away as a freshman. He has also been impressive, but Boyd shed his black stripe first. Now, Henry Jr. has done the same and has lost his black stripe, becoming the second freshman receiver to do so.

Henry Jr. shed his stripe just a few days before the Spring Game. This is going to be an important Spring Game for him, as he has a shot to compete for a starting receiver role. Smith and Brandon Inniss are the only two receivers locked into a starting role at the moment.

The Ohio State Buckeyes will likely air it out frequently on Saturday with all of the injuries that they have dealt with at the running back position. The last thing Ryan Day wants to do is risk another injury at that spot, although that doesn't mean they won't run at all.

That opens the door for Henry Jr. to make an impact when the ball is being thrown around. He certainly has the size and strength to do that right away if he can be consistently great in practice. He must have gotten that consistency component down enough for his black stripe to be gone.

Ohio State fans will get their first look at him on Saturday. The game will be on at noon.
