With the NFL Draft about 48 hours away, the news is coming fast and furious in the rumor mill. And to the surprise of no one, several former Buckeyes are caught in the crossfire because there could be 3 or 4 of them taken in the top 10 picks.

There's already been talk about Arvell Reese's stock potentially taking an 11th-hour dip in case the New York Jets don't select him at the No. 2 spot. And now there is more chatter about linebacker Sonny Styles, who climbed into the top 10 with a terrific performance at the NFL Combine. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Styles could be selected as high as fourth to the Tennessee Titans, leaving the New York Giants with the chance to grab Reese at the fifth spot.

The Giants are currently holding the fifth pick in the draft, but Schefter believes that the pick could be up for grabs with the Dallas Cowboys itching to move up into a position for a player like Reese or Styles. There's no guarantee that the Giants will be eager to trade the pick, much less to an opponent in the division, but it's happened before.

Sonny Styles could be the first Buckeye selected in the NFL Draft

It would make a lot of sense for Tennessee to select Styles. The Titans have a new head coach, Robert Saleh, and he's a defensive guy. A player like Styles has the athletic profile and versatility to wear a few hats on defense, whether he's an off-ball linebacker or lining up on the edge and rushing the passer.

It's a great accomplishment for Styles to be mentioned in the top five. When the season ended, it was clear that Reese and Caleb Downs were likely to be picked in the top 10, but Styles had to work his way up from being simply a first-round pick into one of the prospects that NFL teams view as a difference maker and a potential All-Pro.

There are still plenty of hours left before the first pick is in on Thursday and expect many more rumors to be floated between now and then.
