December can't get here soon enough, as the Early Signing Period will arrive and Ohio State is ready to make things official with their big-name commits. However, with things still four months away, the door is still open for other schools to keep recruiting future Buckeyes playmakers.

Such is the case with 5-star safety Blaine Bradford, who gave Ohio State his verbal back on March 31. With Bradford being a Baton Rouge product, countless LSU fans were heartbroken that LSU missed out on him. However, Brian Kelly is continuing to recruit him. This has people talking and even Chad Simmons isn't sold that Bradford will be Columbus-bound once next campaign gets here:

5-star Ohio State commit Blaine Bradford is on flip watch and that's not good for Ryan Day

It's not a surprise at all here that Bradford is still hearing from LSU. Fellow 5-star prospect Lamar Brown, an LSU commit, is putting in recruiting work for Kelly to try to get Bradford to change his mind and play with him for the Tigers at the next level. Keep in mind too that his older brother Jacob signed with the Tigers as a part of the 2025 class - he's surely in his ear as well.

That's not good at all for Ryan Day and his coaching staff. According to the 247Sports Composite, Bradford is ranked five stars, the No. 5 safety in the country, No. 2 player out of Louisiana and No. 36 prospect nationally for the 2026 class.

He originally committed to the Buckeyes over additional offers from LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and many others - he holds 30 total offers to his name for this cycle.

Bradford took his official visit to Ohio State on June 20 and things went quite well for him. Moving forward, we'll now be waiting to see if LSU gets him on campus for a visit this fall. It will also be a top priority for Day to get Bradford back in town to remind him of why he chose the Buckeyes in the first place. Seeing him flip his verbal to LSU is the last thing anyone wants to see in the coming months. It will be on Day and Co. to prevent that from happening.
