The Ohio State football team has an embarrassment of riches at the wide receiver position. A true freshman has been turning heads and is trying to push for playing time early.

Perhaps no position has more talent on the Ohio State football team than wide receiver. They truly have some of the best talent in the country there. They already have the two-best wide receivers in the country in Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson. But they aren’t the two who are making noise this Spring.

True-freshman Marvin Harrison Jr. has been turning heads all Spring. In fact, he has already lost his black stripe and was one of the first freshmen to do so. He has made some great catches and is trying his best to carve out some playing time in a very crowded room.

Ryan Day has commented on how much poise Harrison Jr. already seems to possess. He has looked extremely impressive in practices so far. No matter who he has been catching passes from, Harrison Jr. is showing that he has the potential to be the best receiver in this recruiting class.

I told you about how good Harrison Jr. could be. He obviously has Hall of Fame genes and has been around someone who can teach him the game. His physical tools are what give him the chance to be great. He has such great hands and can catch every ball thrown near him.

It might be hard for Harrison Jr. to see the field much this season. Other than Olave and Wilson, he is also behind Jameson Williams, Jaxon Smith-Ngiba, and Julian Fleming. Those are five quality receivers who already have experience playing in big games.

Even if he doesn’t play much as a freshman, you can bet he will see significant snaps in 2022. He is already carving himself out some playing time next year. Once he does get that playing time, he can do great things with it.
