With both top receivers coming back in 2021, the Ohio State football team is set to have an extremely potent passing attack.

The Ohio State football team had a really good offense in 2020. The passing attack was a big part of that, specifically receivers Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson. Both of them were very good and could have been number one receivers on every other team in the country.

Wilson was expected to be the number one receiver in 2021 after a strong 2020. Despite playing 5 fewer games than he did in 2019 because of the condensed schedule, Wilson had 13 more catches and had a total of 723 yards and 6 touchdowns.

He won’t be the number one receiver until next season now that Olave has decided to return for his senior season. Olave played in 6 fewer games in 2020 and actually had two more catches than he did in 2019. He had 729 yards and 7 touchdowns this past year.

Both receivers figure to be a big part of the passing game in 2021 despite having a new quarterback. Early buzz has C.J. Stroud being the starter next season. A new quarterback couldn’t have more help than having high-quality receivers like Olave and Wilson.

With a full season expected to be played next fall, both Olave and Wilson should exceed 1,000 yards receiving. They both are too good to not have that many yards no matter who the next QB is. With production like that, the Buckeyes can make another deep run in 2021.

Olave came back to win a National Championship after falling in that game this season. He can achieve his goal and improve his draft stock if he can have another year as he did in 2020. He can also become the all-time leading receiver in school history, with him sitting about 1,100 yards short of that record.

Next. Buckeyes have all but sealed a key recruit. dark

I can’t wait to watch both Olave and Wilson cook next season
