#5: Nick Bosa

The fifth best former Ohio State Buckeyes player that is still in the NFL today is Nick Bosa. Bosa made a name for himself in his rookie season with the San Francisco 49ers.

He was selected with the second overall pick of the 2019 draft. Up to this point, he has been the furthest thing from a bust for the 49ers.

In his rookie season, he had one interception for a 46-yard return. Along with the interception he had two passes defended.

Bosa totaled one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. He was one of the best pass rushers in the 2019 season. He had 9.0 sacks, 47 tackles (including 16 tackles for loss). Lastly, Bosa had a very impressive 25 QB hits despite being double-teamed and sometimes triple-teamed on every snap.

The season ended with Bosa carrying the 49ers defense to a Super Bowl in which they were one or two plays away from defeating the Kansas City Chiefs. He was also named to the Pro Bowl as a rookie.

He had a very disappointing season which got cut short in the first game. Bosa suffered an ACL injury which cut his season short in the first game of the season.

2021 will be a bounceback season for the youngest Bosa. However, he bounced back from his injury at Ohio State to have his phenomenal rookie season. It is likely he will be the same Bosa we have all come to love.
