There were multiple former Ohio State football players who improved their draft stock with great workouts at Ohio State’s Pro Day.

Pro Days are great for NFL teams to come to a university and evaluate a lot of good prospects in one spot. Ohio State’s Pro Day was great for a lot of former Ohio State football players today. This is especially true since there won’t be an in-person Combine this year.

Justin Fields was chief among those who upped his draft stock with a great workout. He posted some great 40 numbers and threw the ball well. You can read more about his workout here. There were a few other guys who gave some good numbers too.

Tommy Togiai also looked good today. Besides his insane bench press numbers, he looked good in some of the change of direction drills. He looks like someone who could end up being a third-round pick now based on his performance today.

Baron Browning was also impressive today. He had 23 reps in the bench press and added a 4.53 time in the 40-yard dash. That’s pretty darn fast for an outside linebacker. Teams wanted to see him do some edge-rushing drills, and he looked good doing those too. He also had a 40 inch vertical. This guy is a physical freak.

Browning may have snuck himself into the second round with numbers like that. Pete Werner, another linebacker, also helped himself. He ran a 4.52 and had a 39.5-inch vertical jump. He could be a high second-round pick or might even sneak into the first round now.

Both Wyatt Davis and Josh Myers showed off their strength today, as they did 25 and 29 reps respectively on the bench press. They both are fighting to be second-round guys instead of third-round ones. They looked good but not great today.

Trey Sermon showed teams that he could catch the ball out of the backfield today. He didn’t do a whole lot of that at Ohio State but didn’t drop a single pass. That could help boost him to a fifth-round guy. He is someone that, because of his injury issues, is fighting to be drafted at all.
