Why Ohio State football vs. TTUN in 2021 may be biggest blowout ever
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football team has dominated their rivalry with Michigan for the last twenty years. Next season, they might dominate it on a whole different level.
The Ohio State football program takes its rivalry with TTUN extremely seriously every year. They make sure that they practice plays for that game every single week. In 2020, they weren’t able to play because of TTUN canceling due to (low) cases of COVID. In 2021, that won’t happen.
In fact, because of that cancelation in 2020, next year’s game could be the biggest blowout in the rivalry’s history. Ohio State is still mad that TTUN chickened out of their matchup this season. Add that to Ryan Day’s comments before last season started and there will be no shortness of motivation for the Buckeyes.
Even though Ohio State will have a new quarterback next season, they shouldn’t have any issues scoring points in this matchup. It will be the last game of the year, so whoever is the quarterback will have plenty of time to get into the groove by then.
There’s a good chance that Michigan will be breaking out a new quarterback too. They might opt to start their five-star freshman. No matter who they start though they don’t have the talent around the QB to be able to score enough points to keep up with Ohio State’s great offense.
This game is less about X’s and O’s than it is about emotion and motivation. The entire Ohio State football program will be motivated all year long to make sure that they destroy Michigan. They will be an angry, pumped-up football team. Even though this game will be at Michigan, it won’t matter.
I’ll make an early prediction right now. TTUN won’t get within 50 points of the Buckeyes in late November. I would be absolutely shocked if they did.
