No. 1: Two Buckeye receivers go for 1,000 yards in 2020

More from Ohio State Football

Here is the extremely bold prediction for the receivers room. This is a tall task and a high bar to set for this unit but I believe its possible. Like I stated before, this is an extremely young group of receivers and playing time might not be divided so equally as it has been in the past.

Look for both Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson to be on the field for at least 75 percent of the team’s snaps in 2020. If that the case, both receivers have a legitimate chance at 1,000 yards receiving.

With the natural abilities of Wilson, and his new role as the H-back, gaining 1,000 yards for him is a very realistic outcome. Olave will have to earn it more playing on the outside, but he clearly has a great relationship with quarterback Justin Fields and that could pay dividends next season.

And he is very motivated on becoming the best player in the country according to his position coach Brian Hartline, via Eleven Warriors:

"“I think he’s very motivated on wanting to be the best player in the country and goes at it from that perspective.”"

With that kind of attitude, the sky is the limit for this duo of wide receivers. And who knows, maybe they are one’s that can help lead the charge to a national championship in 2020.

LSU had two 1,000 yard receivers last season on its way to a national title. Could we be in store for the same next season with Wilson and Olave? As Buckeye fans, we sure hope so.
