Scarlet & Game: How was your experience in the NFL?

Justin: “I had the opportunity to do a rookie minicamp with the Colts.  May have only been because they drafted like 4 of our guys so they decided they wouldn’t mind throwing one more on the bus for the week but it was a great experience. Peyton was always one of my favorite QBs and I had actually met him while being a counselor for his passing academy down in Louisiana the summer before, so I got to talk to him for a bit before he left to take his O-line to the Kentucky Derby that weekend. Then that summer I signed with the Panthers and was there for the last week of OTAs. I was the 4th QB in that room and only had a week of football activities but again, a great experience.”

Scarlet & Game: How has “life after football” been for you? What are you doing now?

Justin: “Life after football is great. Married living in the burbs! We have one child, born 1-12-20 so we’ve been doing the parenting thing to start the year and it’s been an amazing experience. Only to get better I’m sure!

Work wise, I am in the Insurance Business here in Dublin, joined up with an old teammate of mine Craig Krenzel so we still get to talk plenty of football when we’re not selling policies!”
