Ohio State Football: Why Justin Fields should team up with Ryan Day
Per UGASports.com it was reported that Fields asked to have his name included on the NCAA Transfer Portal list. This means that other schools can start pitching to the highly coveted quarterback.
Assuming Haskins declares for the NFL Draft, could Fields play next season for the Buckeyes?
Due to NCAA transfer rules, Fields would have to sit out the entire 2019 season. But according to the new NCAA guidelines, this rule can be bypassed if:
"“The transfer is due to documented mitigating circumstances that are outside the student-athlete’s control and directly impact the health, safety and well-being of the student-athlete”."

After a Georgia Bulldogs’ baseball player used racial slurs to describe Fields earlier this season, he hired attorney Tom Mars who represented Michigan quarterback Shea Patterson when he filed the same exemption petition to be granted immediate eligibility.
The Buckeyes have all the pieces to convince Fields to transfer to Columbus. Coach Ryan Day’s experience combined with his explosive, creative and aggressive offensive mentality is just what Justin Fields is looking for.
Not to mention, Fields would have Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson, Master Teague and Brian Snead among some of his playmakers.
With Ryan Day as the new head coach, it just seems like Justin Fields and Ohio State would be a great fit.
