Ohio State Football: Revisiting 2018 Season Predictions
Game of the Year
I had three games in the mix, Penn State, Michigan State and Michigan. No shocker there given the state of the Big Ten East heading into the year.

I picked Penn State because it was a road game and the last two were down to the wire clashes.
As usual, it was a White Out and the game was dramatic with a nice comeback, but it was not the game of the year.
Part of me thinks the Maryland game deserves the nod, a 52-51 overtime win with Haskins passing and running all over the place. It had all the ingredients of a classic.
It just can’t touch the thorough beat down Ohio State put on that team up north though. Entering the game as an underdog, the Buckeyes came out of the gate ready for battle and the Wolverines collapsed faster than Bitcoin.
Record:
I did predict a 12-1 record for the Buckeyes with a Big Ten Championship win over the Wisconsin Badgers. I also thought they would make the playoff invitational.
The Badgers underperformed and the loss to Purdue torpedoed any shot at playing for the national title.

Given how the season started, and with the injuries sustained on defense, the fact that Ohio State won the Big Ten and will play in the Rose Bowl is remarkable.
