Upcoming Week: Home vs. Duke

More from Ohio State Football

After running rampant on their opponents the past few weeks, the Clemson Tigers finally looked somewhat human in a 20 point win over Boston College. BC was in it for much of the game and that should serve as a testament to the character of the Eagle team, but Clemson is still a different animal as the out gained Boston College 424-113.

Clemson’s defense is one of the best in the country and it showed that once again as with holding BC to just 7 points, the Tigers have now only allowed 47 points in the last 5 games. Will that be enough to overcome Alabama? Only time will tell as it seems the two programs are once again on a collision course for each other.

1. Alabama

Ranking Last Week: 1

Week 11 Result: Win vs. Mississippi State 24-0

Upcoming Week: Home vs. Citadel

Alabama has shut out two ranked teams in back to back games when it seemed this team couldn’t get any more impossible to beat. On a serious note, there is a positive thing to take away from the Tide’s last two games of the season for the rest of college football.

It is that Alabama has been slowed down quite a bit by two good defenses. Alabama gets their yearly bye week before they go and play in what should be an uneventful Iron Bowl.
