4. Notre Dame

Ranking Last Week: 4

Week 11 Result: Win vs. Florida State 42-13

Upcoming Week: Home vs. Syracuse

Notre Dame continued Florida State’s disappointing season with a beat down of the Seminoles at home. To make matters worse for Florida State, Notre Dame was without Ian Book and the Irish led by benched quarterback Brandon Wimbush, put 42 on the Seminoles in the rout.

Now it should be noted that a big part of the 42 points was because of running back Dexter Williams who ran for 202 yards and 2 touchdowns on the night. But hey, Wimbush was benched for a reason right.

The Fighting Irish will hope to have Book back next week and they will need him as the Fighting Irish go up against 12th ranked Syracuse, who is a little overrated in my books. But Syracuse will still be an interesting opponent for Notre Dame.

3. Michigan

Ranking Last Week: 3

Week 11 Result: Win @ Rutgers 42-7

Upcoming Week: Home vs. Indiana

It may be controversial to put a Michigan team that lost to Notre Dame earlier in the season one spot ahead of the Irish who haven’t lost yet this season. But I think that if the teams played again today Michigan would win the battle. The Wolverines have improved on both sides of the ball since that opening match up.

Michigan continued their roll last week with an expected blow out victory over Rutgers. The Wolverines should get another blow out win this week against the Indiana Hoosiers before heading to Columbus for the regular season finale.
